The Mt Fyans Wind Farm is proposed for Western Victoria, five kilometres north of Mortlake.

If approved, Mt Fyans Wind Farm will produce up to 1,500GWh of clean, zero emission energy per annum, enough electricity to power an estimated 280,000 homes.

The project is currently preparing to submit a revised planning application for the project for up to 81 wind turbines with a maximum tip height of 200 metres. As a state significant renewable energy development, Planning Approval will be determined by the Victorian Minister of Planning.

Who we are

The project is being developed by Woolnorth Renewables, a longstanding Australian-based operator of quality wind energy resources with experience dating back to 2002.

Woolnorth Renewables own three onshore wind farms in Tasmania, generating around 10% of the state’s electricity.
